First of all, After completing 10th, a student is not eligible to get admission into IIT in any course. He/She has to complete the 12th first. Then follow the steps.

Step 1: Appear for the JEE (Main) examination-

You’ll have to appear for the B.E/B Tech examinations. One needs to pass this Computer-Based Test CBT. This paper consists of two papers- paper 1 and paper 2. This type of paper consists of multiple choice-based questions. Answers, which are in numerical value.

Step 2: Appear for JEE (Advanced) examination-

You can appear for JEE(Advanced) examination only if your score is above the minimum cut-off for different categories of students officially announced by the NTA. Step 3: Obtain All India Rank (AIR)-

One has to appear for both Paper-I and II of the JEE (Advanced).
